About Us

LAURA LAWRENCE

In early 2005 I took the decision to give up my city job as a Marketing Communications Executive to start my own local publishing business.  It was through working with so many local companies that I realised small businesses really needed help with their marketing but were not in a position to hire a full-time person.  I keep marketing simple as it is the simple things that are often the most effective.  If I can add humour to my work then I will as to make someone smile is to give them more reason to remember you.

HOW I WORK

Much of my work is done from my own home office but I do also work on site at clients' premises.  By working closely with clients I find it helps me 'speak in their language' when I am writing copy and it also gives me the opportunity to find out what they are up to which can be used in their marketing plans.

OTHER STUFF

I love all media channels and over recent years have grown particularly fond of local radio and for 5 years I produced and hosted my own show, The Community Show on Channel Radio, a weekly radio show where I interviewed local charities, organisations or individuals who have done amazing things within their own communities.  There's so much good going on in our communities and I love giving the opportunity for those doing amazing things to share their stories and help raise their profiles.

I also co-hosted The Women in Business Radio Show for 7 years which featured guests from all kinds of business backgrounds and inspiring listeners through their business journeys.

I also like to get out and about and compère at local events and for the past two years have been the MC at the fabulous Edenbridge Motor Show and Music Festival.
